Now, that would be a fun trip. Over to Geneva to test drive (and purchase?) that car!

Who wants to go!!

There just seems to be something wrong with it. Can't put my finger on it. Just doesn't seem right.

But...

Its one impressive lot of hard work!

The proportions aren't quite right so the design does not really flow as well as the original. I don't care for the design of the hood scoop, plus the bonnet vents do not align gracefully (all the little details). The fender flares look add-on, not integrated into the wings and proportionally different front and rear. The seat buckets look cool but I think you would have a hard time getting in and out of them. I do like the idea of the rigid tonneau covers ... and is that a 'suicide' boot? It appears that the hinges are on the bottom edge.

Yes, lots of work .. too bad the design was not more finetuned, imho.

Cheers,
John

There is one here in the US that will make you drool the only decoration on it is a yellow racing stripe. I wouldn't waste air fare to go see that one.---Keoke

I saw an alloy bodied Healey, naked aluminum, at Elkhart Lake a few years ago. If I recall, it was in the "Fourintune" tent, but I don't know if they had anything to do with it.

Yes John, I did not actually see that car but it was featured in one of the Healey Mags some time ago.The thing about this West coast car is the engine, it used a beautiful "Cosworth" Twin Cam Hi performance Mill .Either one of them are cars to drool over though.---Keoke /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif

And the way the bonnet seam flows to the wheel front wheel well coupled with the flatter nose, puts me more in mind of one of the Sebring kit cars.

While I agree that the proportions are off and the real cars are nicer, I still wouldn't turn my nose up at the trip to Geneva, if Mark's ponying up for the tickets /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif.

Keoke,

If you ever find any pictures on this car let me know. Is the body highly modified or stock?

Hi Tim,

No jumping in without reading the whole thread /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/lol.gif

Now go back, read the whole thread, and if you have pictures of the car Keoke was referring to ... let me know!

Cheers,
John

HI John, The car appears as stock except for a chrome plated roll bar. The car showed up at one of the past Woodley Park shows but I have not seen it since.---Keoke

"Now go back, read the whole thread"...........

John,

As a matter of fact, I did read the whole thread, but I obviously missed the shift from the car at the link to a Healey with a yellow racing stripe.

Nope, haven't seen it. Only have pictures of the one with the red stripe that we all saw at Tahoe.

Sorry about that..... I guess I need to read things more than once.

Tim

Hi Tim,

No problem .. just yanking your chain a bit!

One of the best things about seeing AHX14 at Tahoe was getting to talk to Blair Harber. Really a nice guy and he spent a lot of time answering questions (while polishing the shiny beast!)

Cheers,
John
