Do I detect a Mitchell B-25J bomber in there?

Yes Tom, it was full of GE and RCA military test equipment when we flew it, then they would pull the gear out until the next test flight. I flew in the right seat, chief pilot was PIC, she was a bear to land in strong cross winds on our narrow 4,000ft runway! We both got a work out on windy days! :thumbsup2:

The fella I sold it to for some reason changed the N number, I have no idea why? It was it's original civilian registration number. Anyway, here's the aircraft today, it's still alive! It was the sweetest thing to fly, very gentle but on landings, it required ones strict attention! :rolleyes2:

(y) I like old photos, they bring back memories we have a tendency to forget at times. Thanks, Elliot!

How about that, a Cherokee 140 was the first plane I soloed in, in 1963! Started learning to fly when stationed at a Naval airbase up in Kansas in 1956 in an old Luscombe on a dirt-pot hole runway on a farm, (I use the term runway with a bit of reserve), but got shipped out to Gitmo before I got my license. About 6 years later it all came back together! :thumbsup2:
