I am dragging my feet on pulling the head as I am not sure how I am supposed to measure any liner protrusion accurately. Is there a specific tool I need to track down or borrow?

Thanks for the help!

Tom- a simple feeler gauge is your friend here. Just put something in top of the liner like a straight edge metal ruler and use a feeler gauge to measure the gap between the straight edge and the block. Measure at several locations. Easy job.

The factory service manual has instructions too. Tom
