Oiling Carb

What type of transmission fluid is used in Carb? I was told only to use Cartol Automatic Transmission Fluid, but am having a difficult time finding it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I've used everything from 3-in-1 oil to 30 weight engine oil. Generally the lighter weight the oil the quicker the engine will rev ( To a point).

I imagine you can use transmission fluid, but I really don't think it's that critical a point - Certainly not like filling a gearbox or rear end with the wrong type of oil.

Marvel Mystery Oil, any ATF fluid, any 10 to 30 weight non detergent engine oil will work. As pointed out already the heavier the oil the more lag in reving the engine, the lighter the oil the quicker the dashpots/needles can rise.
