Oil Pump Cover Clerance again

Well, went to put on the back engine plate on my 1275 as part of the Rivergate 5 speed kit. The oil pump cover doesn't fit right.

I've from from the start to a slot drive to match the SW 5 cam I've got. Rivergate instructions say to order a Rover
oil pump cover, #AEG533 from Minimania. There goes a quick $35 dollars (plus shipping).

Hold on - APT has it for $22. I'll be calling them tomorrow

Will the oversize cover still fit behind the flywheel?

Good question. I'll ask Bill at Rivergate tomorrow and post the answer.

The reason I ask of course is that the new pump I have will not fit either for a BE.

Something is going to have to be modified and I know not what yet.

Going to have to get a lot cooler here to work in the garage, heck to get old, but it has been in the high 90s with lots of humidity and I just can't take it.

Prob will be Oct.
