Have not crawled up close close yet but curious as to what others think based on the pic. ‘79 1500.

Thanks everyone for the feedback.....getting up close tomorrow and will be more than sure to post what I find. :excitement:
 
Mine continues (i think) to leak - something does. Over tightening the bolts warps the pan and, I have stripped both bolts on the aluminum piece at the front seal. Keep us posted.
 
7 lbs. max torque Pull Pan, place edge over flat steel. hammer dimples flat, new Gasket, sealer, reinstall.

Yep, try that on your wife’s granite countertop...makes her happy beyond belief!

Oh man are you ever asking for it Rut. Windshield in kitchen then countertops. A braver man than I.
 
According to two different sources I checked, 1500 engine sump to block is 20 ft lbs. A-series sump to block is 6 ft lbs.
 
That's not a leak. That's the chassis self-lubrication system.

If I didn't know better, I'd think you crawled under my car and took a picture. I go through oil at a fairly prodigious rate, but I'm definitely dropping more than I'm burning. At some point, I'll yank the motor and fix it.
