I am ordering parts for my 64 BJ8 engine. I checked out my oil pump and it is within the clearance specs listed in the manual, .0025 clearance between rotor and body and .002 clearance at the top. Should I still buy a new pump and should I get the standard or upgrade? Is it worth it to buy new internals? Is there a way to check out to see if the pumps puts out enough pressure? Also, what is the best type stock filter to buy, Crosland or some other brand, felt or paper? Thanks and have a good day!
