I heard 85/86%, but this was a figure thrown out about 30 years ago when DMH was coming to USA Club events.Randy Forbes said:I'm thinking it was somewhere around 82%. Might be higher, it was a big number.
Post WWII in England was "export or die." The manufacturers couldn't get raw steel unless they were exporting (to bring IN money to rebuild the country).
Michel, We enjoyed and abused them first!!! lolgermanmichel said:Hello,
but we bring them back to europe... not only the rusty ones
Bye michel- who bought his actual BMW F10 extremely cheap in the UK ( LHD european spec.)
The stories I've heard, was that they were pretty rare to see in the UK, RHD or otherwise.Healey_Z said:Wow, that is a big number.
I ask, because I sent a picture of my car to a colleague in the UK and he said that he didn't know they made a left hand drive version.
I think your right about them being scarce in the UK. While I was in the Navy(aviation), the UK purchased some jets from us and we provided training. A couple of the chaps I trained were into Porches and not much ado about the Healey. One of them complained about how often the aircraft had problems. I got to thinking that if only he had a Healey he wouldn't complain.Randy Forbes said:The stories I've heard, was that they were pretty rare to see in the UK, RHD or otherwise.Healey_Z said:Wow, that is a big number.
