What if anything is between the spring leaves?

I for sure need to take mine apart and clean and paint if nothing else. see no broken leaves so........

Got it, another job for rustolum. Bear metal, prime and paint. Good deal. Now if I can just get the darn things off.

on 'modern' leaf packs they have plastic pads under the leaf ends to allow them to flex easily, but in this case, just add some grease...

Don't use grease, it just collects dirt and makes a real abrasive mess. Use Graphite.

can't argue with that.

You mean use graphite between all the leaves? Or just on the end (where it bolts into the spring pan)? Is graphite readily available from Pep Boys?

Thanks.

Is at ACE and Home Depot and Lows.

Why not put some of the plastic strips off a modern car on them?

Think I will take em to my favorate spring builder. Tony, you there? LOL

I would think the whole works, but then thats just me. After all they got to move to work.

I concur, the next time mine come out, probably in a month to install a wedge and take out another leaf, I will be doing the same.
