…at least not here in the Northeast. This weather reminds me of a great story that appeared in the NY Times magazine section well over 25 years ago about a father and son driving their Healey safely home through a raging snow storm. I’ve not been able to find the piece anywhere on the Internet, but would love to read it again.
I’m also reminded of a snowy night back in the late 60s when I was heading home late at night after a party. The snow was so deep that my Bugeye Sprite with its nearly bald tires was unable to make it up a slight incline. So I put it in 1st gear, and with the rear wheels spinning pushed the car a few hundred yards until she got traction, then quickly jumped in and away I went! Slip-sliding all the way home.
