Thanks to all who have provided advice and/or encouragement in my last push to finish 1970 TR-6, CC52403LU. Here are several pictures of the finished car, Signal Red, Lt Tan interior, overdrive.

WOW!!!!!!!! That's awesome. I'm sure someone will point out some fault or another, but to me it seems faultless right dowm to the redlines. Congratulations! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Extremely nice job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now open up that garage door and go!!! ... PeterK

Wow, that is a superb looking car. Very nice job Mark, hope you have lots of fun with it. I especially like the interior shot, just beautiful. Are you planning on showing it?

Really lovely, Mark. Better than new, I'm sure.

Now, go ahead and put that small scratch on the paint somewhere so you won't get so upset when someone else does it! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Thanks everyone! My son has already put a nice wheelbarrow scratch in the hood (going back to the painter next week) and I've put 45 miles on it with no real glitches. The redlines are from Diamondback Tires, modern radials made to look like the originals. It rides really nice on them. Now if I can get my overdrive working again, I'll be a happy camper. And yes, I'm planning on showing it for local shows anyway, not sure if it could hold up to VTR scrutiny, altho I might take it to a 6 Pack sponsored show just to see what I've missed as far as originality goes.

Nice Job

Looks Fantastic

Mark, I see lots of work and love getting this kind of results takes both. You have done very well, as Mr Grace would say on "Are You Being Served" and this TR6 should serve you well. Hope you get the overdrive to work, I'm sorry you bolted it all back up before checking it out, hope it's just a relay or crossed wires. Does your ground wire off the battery have the clip on it that bolts to the firewall, if so, clean a bit of paint off the hole and bolt it on, makes a difference. Once again, great job. Wayne

Mark,
That is one beautiful car! Here's to a job well done! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thirsty.gif
