New Member with two MGB's and a 1964 Humber Super Snipe

I registered a year or wo ago and just got an e-mail form Basil, so here I am. I spend some time on the MG Experience site, but have been heavily concentrating of the '64 Humber I purchased last August, it's a Saloon, in line six, power steering, power brakes. I bought the car from the original owner and it's a true survivor; so far Ive had the brake booster and front calipers rebuilt, had the carb rebuilt and installed new ignition wires and a pertronix module; I expect to have it on the road not too long after the ice goes out here in Maine. My MG's are a 1970 that is a relatively reliable driver and a 1980 LE with low miles, almost no rust and an engine rebuild/modification in the works; both are roadsters and have OD.

G'day, I have owned a number of Super Snipes the oldest being a MKIII and the newest being a 1965 Series5. They also make great Demo Derby cars, got 2 derby's out of my last one that I found in an old hay barn pretty much rusted out but still ran great. Here is a wee tip if yours has an automatic gearbox, by pushing the gear lever in and out towards the dash it adjusts the shift points in the auto, I had owned a few before I discovered that.

Hello from another British car fan in Maine! I"m in awe of your Super Snipe; my British uncle was a Rootes fan who aspired to one but never got past Hillmans. Right now, my British cars are a '66 Land Rover II-A and an '80 Triumph TR-7 Spider. I'm looking to replace the Spider with either a Spitfire or an MGB, depending on condition within my limited budget :smile:.

There is a fairly active Mid Maine Sports Car Club out of Camden, and of course, a lot of British car talent on MDI.

Given today's storm it might be a while before the glaciers recede here :smile:.
