I've been a Triumph owner for 27 years, starting off with a Spitfire, and now onto my second TR6 which I've owned for 20 years. I'm British, but moved to France 3 years ago so have suddenly found myself in a country that doesn't speak English and have no idea what a TR6 is.

While living in the UK I always relied on my local garage who happened to be TR5/6 specialist (purely be coincidence) and I always left them to do any of the major jobs. Unfortunately they are no longer an option as I have 900 miles and the English Channel to deal with, so it's all down to me now.

My car is a drivers car, not a show piece, as I used it to drive it to work and it was taken for a 2 week trip around Europe every year. I have personally put 70K miles on the odometer, and it has been completely reliable for the last 15 years.

Good to have you with us. Now don't go trading that TR for a Traction-Avant!

I think most of us have "drivers" - not closet queens. They were built to drive, not just to be pretty on a stage.

Sure would be nice to see some photos of your drives around Europe. hint hint

Occitanie - now that is an interesting area for sure. I once auditioned for a job in Toulouse. Beautiful city - red tile roofs, the Capitole, and excellent food.
