Hello to all,

I found this site cruising the “net” looking for parts for my Austin Healey 100-4 “M”. I always loved the body style, and although I built and restored many cars over the years I never built one for myself…..sound familiar?? I decided turning 50 I would indeed build one last car for me. Having done high caliber resto work in another life time and since I wanted to create a modified V8Healey (no booing!!),I looked for a rolling basket devoid of most of the stock parts. I did not feel right about altering a good restorable car. The car I found was fairly solid, missing lots of stuff, perfect for my project! It came with some extra sheet metal including a steel louvered hood. My friend told me to run the ID # with the BMIHT, and low and behold it is factory 2 tone “M” car! So here I am not creating my V8 modified Healey, but restoring this poor orphan back to it’s former glory…….Any and all help is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Phil

Welcome, Phil -

You've found THE PLACE for camaraderie and banter about these wonderful cars. We look forward to hearing your experiences and seeing pictures of the work!

HIya Phil, and welcome! Kinda funny how things you discover after having laid in a "plan" become subject to change. Also neat you have found an "M" to boot!

What bit of Florida are ya in? I'm over Tampa way.

Hi,

Thank you glad to be here,....I agree "the best laid plans of mice & men"....I guess the car God's figured I could handle it! I am out side of Lake City. Seems like you have some very nice cars!

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif Welcome to the Forum. As an f/y/i you have in your general area a very fine Healey mechanic. He's Paul Tsikuris and he's in Lakeland. If you have any problems or just what some help I am sure he will be more than happy to assist you. Just google him and if all else fails I think I have a current e-mail address for him. Just message me and I'll pass it on to you.

As an owner of a 100M that was resurrected from a junkyard in Miami I will be pleased to hear how your M's progress is coming.

Again, WELCOME! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif

Hi, welcome to the Forum. If you just turned 50 I think you've probably got more than one more lbc left in you!
