new LE project

Love that look, Bob. You da man!

Looks really nice Bob! The black paint really does it justice. Are they Haps wheels? Nice. PJ

The wheels are Revolution wheels from England. They are no longer available. Very popular in the mid to late 70's. Bob

Revolutions were what we ran on the race cars for many years, nice wheel, really light, but use PITA shank lug nuts, the comapany is alot like Jack Knight gears in the UK, they keep going bankrupt and being rebought and going bankrupt again, last Revolutions I bought was 13x6 around 2001 and it was almost 300 dollars a wheel, they are still real popular with the race crowd, you hardly ever see them on street cars, and I think I only seen the original to them cross flags center caps one time ever.

If you like a 4 spoke design, our new Retro is nice wheel at reasonable price, it was modeled after the AR Libre, but we "smoothed" it out alot more than the Libre ever was, I know people who never liked the Libre , but like our Retro 4s.

I have 5 new cross flags center caps for the wheels also. I just sold another set of old Libres on ebay. The offset is not good for a MGB with the original style Libres so if I want another set (with the correct offset) I will just call Hap! Any display Retro 4s at the shop in Greenville yet? I guess I will go back into the shop now and stare at that Blue MG Midget some more. Maybe some Elves came around last night and finished it or took it away. I would be happy either way. Bob

Yeah, I got a 14x5.5 Retro 4 here in silver. We'll also have 15x6 Retro 4s by sometime this fall or early winter.

I had a fellow on another site ask a few questions about a steel dash conversion. I thought I would bring this post back up to page one. I may run this car or the iris blue 63 mgb on a mini vacation to Florida in early February. If you are in Fla. keep a eye out for me! Bob

I'm waitin'.
