new headers

got my new "kirk" headers, very well built, came with pipe end transition tubes, end gaskets, nuts, bolts, and washers, only thing im not liking is that the pipes are proud of the flange face 3/16" not allowing a total flush fit against the head gasket, considering shaving pipes flush with flange, any sugs?.

Don't "shave" them, that's done deliberately. Those protruding tubes will ensure a positive seal against the head surface/gasket.
