I'm not talking about air conditioning either! My oldest boy, Shaun, just finished his training at Altus AFB, OK for upgrading from co-pilot to pilot (left seat). He is now an Aircraft Commander (AC) in the KC-135R Stratotanker! He pins on Captain the 28th of May.

Basil

Congrats to him... and you!

Too cool Basil!

Sweet! I'll have a drink to that!

That's a mighty big plane too! Congrats to you and Shaun!

Congradulations!Have you put the Air Force stickers
on your car(s) yet?

I should be so lucky! LOL

Congratulations, Basil, to Shaun and his parents.
A 1st Lt. A/C! Scary, ain't it! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
Wille, a 135 hauls jet fuel. It won't work in LBC's, and you wouldn't like the passenger accomodations!

Congrats to you and your son! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

So, when's he taking you on a flight?

Congratulations are indeed in order. Well done.

Don't think the rules will allow it, although I did get to go for a ride in a T-1 simulator with him (similar to a Lear Jet).

Basil

OUTSTANDING ACCOMPLISHMENT> and that's no small back seat!

Congrats Basil! The two of you should be so very proud.

Errr, that's a serious bird he's flying right there.
Dare I ask how much avgas is sloshng around in that thing?

Congrats to son and parents!

I think there is a way to get a ride, Basil. Went thru a "Leadership" (stop laughing, pay attention) program a few years ago and with a "tour" of the air base we were guided thru a tanker and given the opportunity to go on a mission as "ride along". Someplace in the archives was a series of photos I took on a gas passing mission, BTDT. I declined a ride but several of the classmates went.
