To me, there's an extra sense of pride in family members who excel in the military. It's not exactly like success in the business world, but a deeper sense of pride borne of the tradition of sacrifice that's inherent in military service. The business world has no such parallel.

My nephew recently had a similar experience in the Air Force. A very fine feeling it is. I hope you can take time to fully enjoy it. I've experienced it too, and it's really special.
