Is there some secret or tool that you use to remove the bolts that go through the bushings on the rear trailing arms for a tr6?

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif If you remove the trailing arms by undoing the mounting brackets from the frame. Once the arms and brackets are off, it should be much easier to proceed.

Are the trailing arms still attached to the car? I used the following guide to remove them:

A one man job with a bit of judicious jack and stand usage. The hardest bit was removing the rear springs for me.

As Dale mentioned, a tool to remove the bushing is a must - I used the clamp method in the source above and it was a breeze. Just line it up and press out or in the bushings. Whilst you're at it, the Goodparts adjustable trailing arm brackets are also a good idea for future alignment issues...

I used an arbor press. Spent 2 hours with a drill on the first one trying to weaken the rubber enough to hammer it out before seeing the light. Best $40 I spent (or so it seemed at the time).
