Bud i believe the correct manifold will have the water pipes on it. i would post a pic of my unmounted set, if you can convince me to go out to the garage in my jammies and take one....its below zero here now and to be honest it is gonna take lots of convincing....

Hi - I have some detailed "before" pictures of my 76 Midget 1500 engine compartment that may help you. I have tried to add them to this post but I have the hardest time trying to add pictures on this forum. I don't know what Basil did but I can never seem to get any photos loaded here. Scroll down the page and you will see a listing for a used euro-spec set for the 1500. Pretty affordable, too, IMHO.

The picture is small, but I think I can see where the water pipe runs through the manifold. If not, you could allways flare a piece of copper tube and strap it to the manifold (or wherever you want).
 
I've got some close up pictures of the alterations I had to do to the passenger foot well to make the dual hs-4 fit. Wasn't too bad although i wished I knew how to weld but since I didn't I just used epoxy.

I found the dual carbs at quadmechanics which was mentioned earlier in this string. They were in good shape but i rebuilt them anyways. I love the look and performance I got. Good luck on the project.
