If it's the original engine, it's a 948cc Standard-Triumph engine, the same engine that evolved eventually to the 1493cc Spitfire 1500 engine as well as the six-cylinder versions up to and including TR6.tdskip said:Is that an A-series engine in there?

Well I do have a place to park it, and family would be OK with it, but there is the slight issue of one or two outstanding projects.

...and swap in a later engine, etc., etc.! Cosmetically, the car looks pretty rough, but I'll wager that the unibody is pretty solid. Could be a neat project. IF only I were in CA, had any spare cash, didn't already have 12 Triumph-related projects....Andrew Mace said:Looks like it was once enjoyed by a somewhat knowledgeable enthusiast...smart enough to know that he/she could bolt on the wire wheel hubs from a Spitfire!
