There is an unused plastic connector next to the fuse box on my '71 TR6 containing two male spade connectors - one with one brown wire leading to it and one with two browns. What is supposed to connect to this? Am I the victim of creative rewiring by the PO? Thanks.
 
Hi MrPandy. I am not sure if creative wiring has prevailed,but solid brown wires are used to route the unswitched 12 Volt power lines throughout the car. These three normally would connect to the fuse block.If the electrical system is operational you can check and see if there is the specified voltage at the ends of these wires and blank terminals on the fuse block.---Fwiw---Keoke

I'm not sure which brown wire goes where but I think the single brown wire connects to the alternator (although I see it listed as NR-brown and red-on my wiring diagram) and the two brown wires connect to 1)the starter and 2)the fuse box at the fuse going to the purple wires (horn, courtesy light, trunk light, cubby light,...). I got my wiring diagram from www.advanceautowire.com. Go there and click on "Stock Schematics" Very helpful, since the diagram I had previously was riddled with errors.
