TR6 My TR6 Project

It’s been a while since I posted the progress of my project, so I thought I would update. I spent my free time getting the tub ready to mount back to the chassis. Most of that time was spent stripping the zeibart rust treatment out of the engine compartment - by far my least favorite part of this restoration so far. With the tub finally rid of all that zeibart, I sprayed the engine compartment, trunk, door jams, rockers, and the front and rear balances with PPG single stage urethane. The only thing left to paint on the tub is the cowl and the rear shelf. I plan on doing that next summer when all the sheet metal gets painted. I installed a tourist trophy stainless exhaust last weekend, and today I lowered the tub back on the chassis. The next step will be taking the door bracing out and getting the body mounting kit sorted out. I’m hoping all the gaps are as they were when I last checked. I am having trouble getting pictures to load correctly. I’ll try to post them tomorrow.

Sounds like you are making good progress.

Cheers
Tush

Yes, slower than I'd like, but thank you Tush. Here is another attempt at getting some pictures up...
