Well, here's where Im at now. Adjusting windshield frame for proper fit. All rechromed. No glass in it until it's right. Right door latch is giving me fits trying to get it to latch properly, very frustrating, but I'll win in the end! :encouragement: PJ

Very Nice Paul!!

Simply stunning! What is the wing(fender) color?

Jet Black. It can a little confusing at times due to the reflections it picks up, but it's the darkest Black the shop could get. Same as the Jag Regency Red, it has some pearl in it and light affects the color quite a bit. PJ

In some of your pictures it looks like black cherry. Of course to some, it may look black and blue or gold and white! :D LOL

Very nice. Really starting to look like a car again.

Beautiful work, Paul! The color choices are superb.

Thanks Doc, appreciate your comments. Getting the doors to latch properly has been quite a chore, in fact a real PITA! Getting more things accomplished every day, two steps forward and one step back. So many little things to do and they all take time. I walk away from it at times, once for a week! Frustrating at times. I've been told I'm my own worst enemy, trying to get things perfect on a car that wasn't designed that way. :tired:. PJ

Paul,
Again, that is a beautiful TF! I love the color combination and your attention to detail is incredible! Keep doing what you're doing and you'll be driving in no time.

Thanks guys, much appreciated. Been having a rough time with the right door latch assembly. Believe it or not, it's very precise on it's fit into the latch and there is nothing precise about what it bolts to. Oh well, tomorrows another day, we even get another hour of daylight! Good grief, that's another hour of aggravation! :highly_amused: PJ

Those latches are diabolical. I've had the "pleasure."

The latch on my '89 F150 drove me nuts. No matter how deep I set the post the door would still protrude and not shut all the way.

...then I realized it was set too deep and was overlatching onto another sear groove. I set it a lot shallower and now it's a little too tight but it will do. I have no idea what the TF latch is like but it you keep doin the same thing with the same results, try the opposite direction.

You can do it but it takes considerable snake eyed concentration , instead of latchin' the door to the car, latch the car to the door.

Each one was hand fitted, those latches are all different. The door skin, the frames, the gaps... all part of how the latch engages! You're gonna need to be a craftsman.

Doc, after a week off and on with walk away breaks to keep the aggravation down, both doors are working as they should! The latches are a whisker tight, but better tight than loose. Once I get to drive it they should settle in. Today I installed the new windshield glass and the outside is really looking like a car again. PJ

Time away is always a key thing. Deep breath, beverage of choice, and it's amazing how the car will respond to your efforts. Glad you got them sorted.

Yesterday the temp was 74 and the honey dew list came out of the darkness again! But while working out side I was asked if our golf cart had any influence in the color I painted the car? Crazy as it sounds, I never gave it a thought until yesterday. Here' our golf cart and hard to believe, but it had no influence!
