my new clutch bleeding trick

after removing and rebuilding
the master cylinder i reattached
it to the hose, filled it,(leaving
the cap off), then raised it high
as it would go and started SLOWLY
pumping it with my hand while
ROCKING it back and forth to get
the bubbles out..... next reinstall
after adding the cap!

hands down the easiest and least messy
way ive found to bleed the clutch!
everything is downhill and the bubble
"trap" is gone with the master in the air.

hope this helps some of those "mystery"
clutch problems!....drive on! ....zimmmmy

took a drive down the street today
and the clutch appears to work fine
after the master cylinder rebuild
now to get my muffler welded on,
and get some brake lights, then
im on the road i guess....mostly.........z

Thought you fixed the brake lights.

i thought i did too....
geez , even when i know
they r hooked up right
only half seem to work
at a time! ...maybe
ill get it today, im taking
off today to try and finish up
so i can drive it this week....z

Recheck grounds Zimmy.

:iagree:

What he said... If they're acting weird, only one at a time, cutting out when the signal lights are on, etc... I'd suspect a faulty ground.

Old Newfie joke,

"Buddy, can ya check and see if the signal lights are working?"

"Sure... yup, nope, yup, nope..."

well, i have blinkers and brake lights
although i suspect they wont work if
i turn on the headlights.....
ive got everything tightened and
ready for a trip to the muffler
shop to get my Monza installed.
not gonna b too fun a drive mufflerless,
then afterwards ill have to do some tuning
of course....... ill report back later,
.....assuming i make it back! ....z

made it back home!
sounds much better with the monza
muffler, and im only $20 lighter
for the welding

the bad news is, it still sticks
in neutral like it always did!!!!
im getting really irritated at this
point and considering "maybe" selling!!!

i dont know...sometimes u just cant win........z

yep, then a yank it around a little
while holding the clutch till it
frees itself.....no idea whats wrong,
ive taken the gearbox apart 2 times...
same results.....
runs fine long as im movin..........z
