I like all Healeys, big and small, but I think that the 100 is the purest expression of the marque. It's the car designed by the Donald Healey Motor Company, just the way wanted it, undiluted by design committees and corporate requirements and limitations.

Don't stop searching. Opportunities do occasionally materialize.

What would a a running AH cost?

Kbash - a running Healey would be expected to cost between $15K and $140K /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Are you talking about a 100-4, 100-M or a 100-6? 100-S I assume will be way out of what most can afford.

Here is a 100-4 very cheap but it will cost a fortune to get running and looking decent again.

Yea, I'm wanting a running fixer upper.
I'm 17 so 1015k is alot of money for me.
But o how much I love healeys

That car would cost you well more than you could buy one for to restore. You gotta love that car to take on a project like that.

I doubt you will find anything running or looking acceptable at those prices.

If you are able to find one that seems inexpensive, make sure you look closely. It may run ok (engine/tranny) and stop ok (brakes), but it also might be full of RUST. Rust can be very expensive to fix, especially if it is in the frame. Join a local Healey club first before buying. You will meet knowledgable enthusiasts who will be helpful. They might even know of Healey for sale that would fit the bill. You can also buy an Austin Healey Sprite much cheaper than a big Healey. They might not have the pure classic look of the Big Healey, but they can be fun too.
