My first LBCS ... Caution unbiased opinion

Trevor Jessie said:
I wasn't able to make it to Cincy. My kids had their swimming championship meet today. I guess I can try to make it to Dayton. Honestly, car shows (for me) are just an opportunity to hang out and talk about cars. I have a stack of meaningless trophies. My favorite car events are ones that involve driving tours of twisty backroads or even a low key autocross (I'm not interested in competitive SCCA autocross). TSD rallies are not fun for me. Gimmick rallies are OK and endurance runs are sort of cool.

Sounds like your becoming a bit jaded over car shows, Trevor. I enjoy british car shows where all us guys that like LBC's can get together and gab. Don't care to get gassed and deafened by a hemi what ever. When younger we had an active sports car club with gimmick and TSD rallies done on a regular basis. I enjoyed them as long as the TSD rallies were thru interesting country. Sadly this summer is keeping us from doing much of anything. 102 in the shade right now!

Kurt.
