My BJ7 restoration photos

Peter,Dar,BR1,Tim .. thanks for all the positive comments!

Lin, These are rear springs that I bought from Moss about 5 years ago and they have plastic strips between each leaf. They may not be teflon but imagine they give a slicker surface than the original zinc strips that were used. The painting on the Moss springs was really bad. It looked like they were assembled and then dipped in paint which causes an uneven build up between the leaves and rust was starting to form. Now each leaf has been primed and painted and assembled with the plastic strips between.

Cheers,
John

Was able to put in a good weekend of restoration work. Rebuilt and installed the calipers, wheel cylinders, master cylinders, clutch slave, brake drums, hubs and then filled and bled the system with Castrol LMA. Checked all the fittings again after 24 hours and there was just one small leak on the reservoir fitting. The connection was just a bit loose and now have a very firm pedal with no apparent leaks. I have updated the website with some more pictures showing last months work. Getting closer! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
