Long story short this car has been in or around my family since it was 7 years old. Its known history starts with a little roadster that was bought by my father's friend in 67 I believe. He tootled around in it for a while until he blew the 2nd engine in it. Then my Grandfather purchased the car and got it running again then drove it around for a bit until my mother wanted it. So my pop bought the car for her and not too long afterwards I came along. Some of my earliest memories were of speeding down the street in that little car with the top down. I still remember the smell of that car and periodically I get a wiff of it now and then when I have to move it. THe car blew it's motor the final time sometime in 1980 or 81 and has sat ever since.
THere was a reviaval back in 86 or so where my pop and brother were planning on restoring the car and bought a ton of parts for it. but it never went together. the most they did was rebuild the brakes, put new tires on her, give her a stunning shot of red paint and send the motor out to be rebuilt. Unfortunately not long after my grandparents came ill the business took a nosedive and the motor was forgotten. We never saw it again. So without a heart the car has been moved to and fro with just me piecing it together in my mind.
Anyways here she is... 22 years ago.
