I just uncovered 5 or 6 engines, heads, extra cranks, transmissions....if anybody needs anything, PM me.

Any 1275 S from about 1967?

Bruce

I know you said to PM you but.... What vintage are the gearboxes? 3-synchro, 4-? Magic-wand, remote, or rod-change? Were there any flywheels with the collection and if so were they 1-piece or 2-piece?

Doug - I don't know anything about Mini's & have no idea where I bought all these...they're the type that has the transmission under the engine driven off the crankshaft..I think there are some flywheels/clutches in the bin - I'll look....what are the identifying features?

Hi,

With over 40 years of production the Mini did evolve and parts did change. Sometimes the casting numbers help identify parts. I'll work up a list and see if I can locate some pictures then PM you. Give me a couple of days to pull that together. Thanks.

Hi Tony,

Are any of the engines 1275's ? You can tell by the orentation of the heater tap, near the 4th cyl. If it is aligned prependicular to a line drawn through the cyl's it is a small bore(850,998.997,1100) if it is at 45 Degrees it is a large bore(1275).

Thanks

Roger

I just got back from N'Awlins...will look at them tomorrow

I have 1 complete 1098 engine...the rest have heads with "2A629" stamped on them (at least the heads I could get to in a box)
