Midget in snow?

Heck If you what to make a car into pile of rusted junk Try driving county gravel roads at 60 MPH for a year or two then throw in a winter's of North Dakota salted hiways and you have the most rusted out beatup pile of junk in the world. There isn't a paint or rhino hyde type product made that can hold up against road gravel the size of ping pong balls being thrown against your under carriage at 60 MPH and salt and sand blasted into every nook and cranny.
Shelled out Aaa? You betcha!

Been there with this one but it was more so cause I had no choice cause the old lady left and pretty much left me with the Midget for my only car in northeast Ohio. With good tires and a well reworked front end it actually wasnt bad. More so the concern was 2 things:
1. Keeping the road salt off of it and destroying it. Wash frequently!
2. Stay off of major roadways where big trucks can possibly get you on accident!
Good luck, but honestly if you have other car options,...do it.

This is the pristine eco friendly north west here... They don't salt or plow or scrape snow or ice, they let it naturally melt away.

Good for the cars, makes driving a bit sketchy though!

In flagstaff they use cinders. Think grainy fireplace ash. It does the following:

1) adds nothing to traction
2) turns the roads brown/black (at least you can see where it was you were supposed to be)
3) Sticks to your car like cowpies.

I've never understood why they bother.

We like beetjuice in Michigan. (mixed with tons of salt though) I did manage to sneak the Midget out a couple times last winter during a thaw but that's a far cry from HAVING to take it out in single digit temps and blowing snow. No thanks.
