MGB MGB Oil Cooler Thermostat

Are MGB's equipped from the factory with an oil cooler also equipped with a thermostat for the oil cooler line? Thanks for your input on this.
 
No....the lines run directly from the cooler to the engine.
 
After-market thermostats work pretty well, though, if you notice the car doesn't like temperature extremes.
 
There is a shroud available that clips on the cooler for use in cold weather to limit the air flow through the matrix. Don't know if it was a factory design or aftermarket. VB has them in the catalog for the 13 row cooler.
 
If you are trying to increase the temp of the oil for whatever reason you could simply install a couple tees and valves to bypass the cooler when you wish to boil your oil away.
