MGB MGB Intake Grille

That looks good!

R.

Wow, yes it does. Anyone have the part number for those plastic inserts?

326-665

Back at'cha!

Oh, one thing about them...you have to clean the hole thoroughly or they won't fit....I mean run a drill bit through each hole to remove everything - paint included!

Your right Tony. That was my initial problem. Paint in the holes. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif PJ

Look at this, two pages about a grill screen, its effectiveness, replacement and how to fix the grill so it is easly removeable to keep the inards clean.

Only here at the BCF does that seemingly happen. A dumb little thing gets started, folks chime in with ideas and solutions and before long everyone knows the best way, the trick.

Ya just got to love it, its fun, its cost effective, and it beats the heck out of working.

The nice thing about this forum is not only how threads like this become suprisingly helpful, but they stay civil and relatively on topic. There are other forums where this thread would be nine pages long by now, but mostly filled with bickering about whose method is best, speculation and multiple 'private' conversations having nothing to do with the thread. Just one reason I post here. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Steve_S: Are your windshield washer nozzles.... backwards?

Mine are aimed straight at each other (there's 2 on my '76). I'm gonna hafta aim them and get the pump working one of these days.

Thanks for all the tips and taking the time to explain the ins and outs of that grill guys!

In that photo, he's washing the guy in front of him....hehehehe

but does it actually hit the windshield when you're not moving?

Yes. From bottom to top as designed. The nozzles are only 1/4" farther from the glass than they would be the other way around.

My El Cheapo solution:

(BTW: That funny lookin' fibre stuff is carpet fuzz... was usin' the bonnet for a shelf as I cut pieces for fitting.) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
