We did a CBA this evening, and excluding transport, it's out of our realm. I'm trying to keep my budget below $2008 ( /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif) and he's picking off what I take off.

From your post above it sounds like you and your friend are out of the picture on this one. If so please let me know. The present high bidder is, as it turns out, some fellow over on the other side of the county and if he strolls over and wants the car I would need to be able to say okay.
