Hey guys, we did this on another forum a while ago for the Triumph guys, and the average age was mid-50's.
It's interesting that the MG owners are much more youthful.
I'll admit to being 54, perhaps I should buy an MG and become younger!
Simon.

Whew, I don't miss those days Paul! Nosiree.

22? Remember I also have a son...

Simon,
I think the reason for that is that older folks don't have the time or the want to do repairs on their cars, therefore they buy reliable vehicles like Triumphs.

51 and still playing with cars /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

My mother's theory is that we all stop aging past 22, so I'm 22 for the 25th time...!

I'm 26 but been driving my MG since I was 16 (and working on them longer than that!)

Triumphs reliable? As compared to MG's? (raising one eyebrow).

37 here. My 3rd car at 18 was a Spitfire. Daily Driver, and worked on it weekly to keep it going. It was a 71 and 15 years old at the time. My MGB is a 75 and 30 years old now. The B is so much like the Spitfire in personality and the way its put together, its almost like working on the same car. ALMOST. The B at 30 is just like the Spit at 15. I've had 4 other Spits though the years and this is my first B. Honestly, in those days, B's were too expensive for me to afford. I could find reasonably priced Spits, but B's were hard to find for under 5,000. That was a little steep for a kid working in fast food. I won't say that I like one car over the other. They both have their own personalities, but at the same time they are both LBC's. They share MANY common traits. I just a fan of british cars in general, and all be told, I would have a Lotus Europa if I had my choice.

Anyway, It is interesting to see the age grouping. I figgured it would be an older crowd, as most of the younger people I run into have no clue what kind of car the B is. Heck, most people havn't a clue =P I'm glad that there are a few who do =)

HEY. Where's the rest of the AARP Gang?

Right here! 55.

Ahh, feeling a bit better now Mickey! Thanks.

53 going on 18.

I'm surprised at the relative youth of this group. Or maybe it's just that many of us middle-aged folks don't want to 'fess up?

(Yeah I'm mostly a Healey guy, but I also own an MGB-GT V8, factory with RHD of course, so I feel qualified to post on this board. Wanna race?)
