All Bs and As were electric pumps. Midgets were mechanical for 948s, then electric for 1098 and 1275, then back to mechanical on Triumph powered 1500s in 1975.Crisis said:Just visiting from the Triumph page as I had a question regarding MG's. Um....both of my MGCs have SU fuel pumps.

There appears to be a hole, normally covered by a plate, on the block below the manifolds that has all the earmarks of a mechanical fuel pump mount... I have never taken the time to see if there is a subsequent lobe on the cam.
Maybe it was a 'just in case we decide to add one later' by the MG engineers... :smirk:
