Mesh wheels on a B?

Duplicolor has nice wheel paint you can buy at Autozone, I did the steelies on my Mustang with it a couple of years ago.

what ever kind of spray paint you prefer. When I had steelies I used moss silver and osh semi gloss black and they came out great with no problems. As long as your prep is good it should come out great well as long as you dont paint them pink.

ah... but the CAR is pink... not the wheels. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

And I'm certainly not planning on having hot pink wheels on my B. I'm thinking of a dark grey metallic/gun metal/dark smoke metallic color for the wheels. After looking, Dupli-Color's graphite wheel paint is a close enough match to what I'm thinking of.

I finally got my 'item has been shipped' notice lastnight. I should have them in my possession by the middle of next week. I can't wait! This is almost as bad as being 7y.o. the night before Christmas. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

I was referring to the pink steelies on some of the Roadrunners. With chrome poverty caps in the center, it's an interesting look, for sure.

I can't wait to see how those wheels look on your car, since ours are so similar, although I am looking to find a set with black spokes now. My girlfriend has been nice enough to photoshop my car, lowered, with the wheels I want. She's still working on it but I'll be sure to post it when it's done.

Tony - Did you use spacers on your SAAB wheels or did you just bolt them on as is? And 8.75" wide tires fit inside the wheel well fine?

I used 1/8"spacers on the front to move them away from my oversize sway bar; 5/8" spacers in the rear to clear my brake modifications...wheel/tire combo fits under the stock fenders!

Tony
What did you use for wheel studs to give enough threads to bolt the rims on with?
Dave

Purchased a set of longer ones from ARP...all the above is for the race car....the '79 B just has them bolted underneath.

hmmm... no spacers on the '79? What size tire are on the '79?

Oh, and I've sent you a PM. Asking about some parts I want to order next week.

Its at the body shop in West Point, MS - I'll have to get them to look at tire size

No new unanswered PM's, Rob.

Ok, thanks Tony!

Odd about the PM. Oh well, I've just resent it to ya!

Got the PM this time!! Already answered.

Don't see a PM from camshaft....

PM answered!

Tony - Just curious, in case you know off the top of your head. Do you happen to know if the Rostyle center caps fit the SAAB Shelby wheels?

The caps themselves won't - but the MG logo fits in the center of the original caps nicely - at least that's what I did.

hmmm... ok, I guess I need to go on a search for centers that fit these wheels then (mine didn't come with centers).

Thanks for the info!
