I am new to the site, I just bought a 74 tr6 , the fourth one I ve owned . I live in Louisiana now and the car is in Ct. It has 42000 milets and has beenparked for 22 yrs , it started a yr ago , needs to get road ready , it is just going to be driver , can anyone recommend a good shop in the new haven , Ct area please. Brian - I'd suggest you contact the Connecticut Triumph Register in West Haven (right next door).

Well, you're going to need tires and probably all new brake and fuel lines, so take you time and find a good one. There is one in Manchester, CT that is supposed to be very good, but the name escapes me at the moment. D&J, maybe?
 
There is Motorsport Services, 715 Boston Post Road, Westbrook, CT. Westbrook is about 1/2 hour from New Haven. This is a one person operation run by Jay Statts. Jay works only on British cars and can be reached at (860)399-4905 or (860)526-4256. I just meet him recently and although I have never done business with him he is a very nice guy and seems very knowledgeable.

You could also contact the CT Triumph Club for advice. Very active group from what I've heard.
