I am new to the site, I just bought a 74 tr6 , the fourth one I ve owned . I live in Louisiana now and the car is in Ct. It has 42000 milets and has beenparked for 22 yrs , it started a yr ago , needs to get road ready , it is just going to be driver , can anyone recommend a good shop in the new haven , Ct area please. Thanks. Brian v

Brian - I'd suggest you contact the Connecticut Triumph Register in West Haven (right next door).

https://www.vtr.org/chapters.shtml

Each officer has an email address on that page; they could recommend a good local shop for your TR6.

Well, you're going to need tires and probably all new brake and fuel lines, so take you time and find a good one. There is one in Manchester, CT that is supposed to be very good, but the name escapes me at the moment. D&J, maybe?

There is Motorsport Services, 715 Boston Post Road, Westbrook, CT. Westbrook is about 1/2 hour from New Haven. This is a one person operation run by Jay Statts. Jay works only on British cars and can be reached at (860)399-4905 or (860)526-4256. I just meet him recently and although I have never done business with him he is a very nice guy and seems very knowledgeable.

You could also contact the CT Triumph Club for advice. Very active group from what I've heard.
