Low-Profile Electric Puller Fans

Well lucky Me, I just ripped a hole into My 2 month old Wizard radiator so I get to buy another one. Yay. Somehow the coolant overflow hose got loose, wrapped itself around the radiator and the fan turned it into a bullwhip and shredded several core tubes.

1973 TR 6 I replaced radiator last year did not see value in a alum one, told to stay away from China Alum. Got a OEM from VB 185deg thermostat, for cold weather in Nevada. stock fan Alum air dam to radiator. Mid grade fuel does not over heat.
I found 50/50 antifreeze added oil line to head and 185 deg. thermostat and no front lic plate and only two added grill badges no flare under bumper. No elect. fan. Fuel, tuning, oil, air flow, keep water in radiator longer, get that all right and will not over heat. I will give you AH have it harder.

TR6 has a smaller engine than Big Healeys, no? They got something very right: Putting heater control valve in an accessible location; for a Big Healey--esp. BJ8--it's a real PITA to replace these.

TRs have a good shroud leading into the radiator which Healeys don't come with. It shows on the right side of the photo.
I saw a lot of TRs at a show and was impressed with the shrouds. Nothing like a V8 in a TR4 with AC. Shrouding makes a huge difference! Geoffrey Healey wrote a paper about that, didn’t he? I have a copy of it on one of my “clouds”.

Warren,
Be careful with Water Wetter - it turns to sludge after a while. Lots of info about that online. Royal Purple supposedly makes a more modern product that lasts longer.
Steve, Thanks for the tip. WW was readily available and I usually change coolant every 2-3 yrs. and do not add anything but I was determined to try and lower temps, with success!

The pusher helps in traffic, kicks on at 190F, but the amazing thing is how quickly it cools down when moving. I think that front license plate was problematic.
