Lotus Cortina on ebay

Are any of you guys watching this? I've never seen a Lotus Cortina bid up this high. I can't explain it. Can you?

Looks like a nice example of a super rare and very cool car with lots of race heritage. Seems these have been creeping up in price lately and so I guess I am not that surprised. When you compare this to what original GTOs and 'Cudas are getting it really seems pretty reasonable. I'd certainly like one.

I saw one recently go for about $40K, I think it was on "Pistonheads".

I dunno, $40K for a Cortina?

Both were around $2500.
