I’m looking for photos of Datsun FL 5 speed sitting in chassis. The photos are needed from bottom, top, and front particular to the slave cylinder and release fork. Thanks!
 
Here is my install using the Datsun 5-speed with a rivergate sourced slave cylinder. Sort of hard to take pictures from the top and sides once it is installed.

Thanks for the photo Scott; I was trying to see how close the slave cylinder came to the frame rail was the reason why.

I wasn’t planning to use the Rivergate slave cylinder, but a standard Nissan slave. I’m rerouting the hydraulic tubing from the driver side and welding a ”L” bracket for the hose to be supported. I wanted to see if the slave cylinder and release fork protruded over and above the frame rail to create any interference problems with the “L” bracket? Any other photos will help in the prospective without having to do a trial fit of the engine and transmission.
 
First time I tried to use the std. BE slave cylinder with the adaptor that BillM provided, but it was too close to the frame for comfort.

Thanks Scott, I think that I used a Nissan P/U cylinder. It tucks in close to the transmission bell housing but I did have to machine the adaptor to bring it out for the push rod to have a straight inclination to center the slave cylinder piston. I was wondering how much offset the CNC’s slave has? From your photo it looks to have a straight shot from the centerline of the piston to the pivot fork?
 
The picture shows an adaptor plate under the slave, in order to shim it out. I don't know what that thickness is off hand.
 
As long as I have straight inculcation from the center line of slave cylinder to the center line of the release fork that I should not have any clearance problems, especially if I have to shim it out to do so. My line will come in from the bottom of the slave cylinder and bleeds from the top. From what I can see is that neither the pivot fork nor the clutch slave cylinder extends over into the frame rail which should give me clearance for my hose to loop around and slip under the slave cylinder. Thanks Scott!

Scott, I'm not sure why your original slave is so close, but I suspect that it's the way your rear mount was made. I use the same design slave mount with (minor improvements) and there is a lot more room between it and the frame than you show. These are the sort of details that are tweaked in my kit to avoid this sort of problem, but I've never seen one near this tight. I've yet to have a complaint about this.

Thanks for the photo Gerard; I do like your design using the OEM slave cylinder. In my situation I would not be able to attach the L bracket to the inside due to my oil pan would interfere with the bracket.. I can see that yours is in side the frame rail and not over it too, which is saying I should be ok. Thanks!

The bracket to hold the hose could be on the top of the frame or anywhere within the hose length. Only the 1" slave requires this, the 7/8" one uses a hard line.
 
The slave mount and trans mount that Scott got from me are the common Morrisservice ones that should be identical to Gerrard's- I don't know why it was so close.

I used the adaptor for the speedometer, which may push my transmission over to the left. Gerard, can you use your 5-spd. transmission mount and use the Morrisservice speedo adaptor?

I made some tweaks from the original Morriservice mount, but yes, Absolutely!
 
I'm looking for photos of thr chilli peppers but no one has produced yet.
 
Just wanted to note that the stock Datsun pickup slave is 3/4" while the stock slaves are larger.
When I went to get a slave to work on my Datsun 60 5 speed and A15 datsun engine setup the 3/4 datsun slave gave me pedal pressure that was brutal. I then tryed to fit the Morris Service stock slave mounting and had no clearance. I think I could have made it work if I had fitted it before the power unit went in. I'm not putting the blame on the adapter but on my installation. My modified trans mount and home built engine mounts are to blame. I ended up slotting the brit slaves bolt holes and turning the slave upside down. Can't bleed it correctly that way but the air seems to have worked its way out. I bled it as well as I could before bolting it up. The next one I do I plan to make my own slave from a weldment.
