TR2/3/3A Looking for a passenger door!!! TR3

I'll have to look; got one of the doors left from TS39781LO but I forget which one. I assume this is for your early 3A?

I have one of each and a bonnett I think they are post 60000 but they are yours no charge.

did they change post 60000??
Yes. The wood in the top was deleted, and the lower rear corner got rounded off.

Hinges changed too, but I don't recall offhand if the bolt pattern was different or not.

I have the ones you don't need (post 60000), But you still can have them. or anybody else if can have them too.

just looked at your other post "small victories" and the door that is in the pict is post 60000. I think that the doors I have will work. I will run out to the shed and take a look to make sure they are what I think they are.

Passenger door has wood, drivers door is all metal. I also have a boot lid you can have

Dang....you guys are good....did not notice the doors were post 60k when I dropped them off...running too hard....I think to do it right I need to source two good doors with the wood top to match the ride.....Sh&*^%T...
If that door is in good shape I could use it for sure.

Hi All,

My post TS62000 car has, I believe, original doors. They still have small wood blocks for sidescreen attachment.
Is this correct?

They also have the later inner door skin with the door handle return flange toward the outside of the car. This gives a poor fit to the square holed fitting of the door handle. A lot of cars with is arrangement have sagging outer door handles.

Comments?
Bob

Hey Bob,

You do have the correct doors...

On mine the square peg does not ride on the round hole. The handle eustachion takes the rotation on the outer panel, and the cam lever takes it on the inside. Not very sophisticated, but it kinda works?!?

It is the passenger side from TS39781LO. Needs repainted (naturally) but otherwise looks to be in good shape. Might be some light rust in the bottom. Drop me a PM if you're still interested.

There was an excellent post a while back that shows door differences.
I just did my feeble search but could not find it.
If someone could provide a link, it may help this fellow.

Bob

The original doors for a post-TS 60000 TR3A have rounded corners at the bottom. Also see how the door lock, handle and latch are assembled so the handle does not droop.

My early TR3A (1958) has square bottom corners.

Sorry I took so long. Here are the doors that I have. If they will work for you, they are yours just shipping. anything else that is in the shed is up for grabs.
