Seats are from a 1976 MGB parts car we bought. I ordered all new foam, webbing, and covers through Ron Mcleod (McLeod's British cars), a local LBC mechanic and parts supplier.
Basically it was simple in theory and a true pain in reality. I took apart the old seats and carefully noted how they were put together. Removed clips, covers, padding. I cleaned and sprayed the frames and then reassembled. The first one took about three hours to put together and ALOT of choice words. (Particularly when I realized I had put the passenger seat on the driver frame
) The second one only took about an hour and half.
Total cost for covers, foam, webbing and seats-$500
Time- 6 hours
Not bad! considering I paid twice that to have my son's seats recovered by a pro!
Now...on to the dash and interior panels!
