Hi, I developed a case of ship fitters disease with mine. I have a Carter electrical inline pump (P60504) mounted in the same place M_PIED_LOURD shows. The Carter pump is 4 psi and about $40 from Summit. The lines are 5/16" and run to a Holley pressure regulator (2 psi), mounted in the same location as GTP1960. They drop to 1/4" tube going into the carbs. I put a tee in the line so each carb has its own supply. My engine had a strange dip in rpm at idle. The AFR would swing from 12 to about 18, then recover. I think with the stock set up, if the front float bowl needs fuel at the same time the rear needs fuel, the rear goes dry and leans out. It has not re-occurred since. There is a fuel filter at the pump and before and after the regulator.
I have an inertia fuel pump switch and a solenoid to power the pump. If something goes wrong, I think I will try a simple mechanical fuel pump!
