probably the rotor
Been there, done that, answer was bad rotor. I know that a bad batch of rotors went out at one time but that was a while back. Since it happened all of a sudden, my thoughts are look at the spring loaded contact in the center of the distributor cap and try a new rotor. You can't really just look at the rotor to see if it is bad as a general rule, just swap it out for a new one is easy enough to do.I had the same thing happen and it was the rotor. You could not tell by looking at the rotor; it looked fine. Just pop a new one on. Yeh get away from those guys.
Dr. Entropy mentioned something else I have seen on these cars but not experienced that myself in post #15 but I think he really nailed it in post #19.
