Let's have a run for Amos!

I mentioned this on Brosky's thread, "When a good cylinder head swap goes bad..."

The idea is when Dale gets his car to make it's first 100 mile run that the rest of us join him, and make a 100 mile run in celebration of the demise of Crypty and the birth of Amos!

At this time Doc (DrEntropy), Tom (NutmegCT), and I have committed to do it.

Come along and join us in this, as Doc termed it, Triumphant run! And just plain great excuse to go for a drive!

All- Sounds like a winner all around!!!

BUT....................

Here's the concept that has been
"Need to Know" only
and thus shared by only a few.

It is critical the Crypt Car not be aware.
Everyone can understand why.

When the Crypt Car is so weakened and overpowered
by Amos new parts and TLC that 500 miles of pleasure
driving are accomplished without a Crypty breakdown...

At 500 miles, The Crypt Car will cease to exist and
my 1969 TR6 will officially be rechristened

"Amos the daily driver."

With Ben here this week and David soon to arrive-
I think Crypty is soon to be a goner for good.

Then we will all do a celebration drive. Sounds AWESOME
and what a great plug to this marvelous BCF tool for
technical help, international fellowship and new friendships.

Good idea. Perhaps "Amos" will make that milestone on or before October 12, which is when I plan to make a 300-mile round trip in my Herald to visit my daughter at her college!

I'll be out tomorrow afternoon in honor of the attack....
 
It won't be a hundred miles and it won't be a Triumph, but I will be out and about in the red Riley Elf. (driving an Elf is ALWAYS a celebration!)
