LED Brake / Turn Signal

I installed LED bulbs for the brake / turn signal lights on my BT7 today. Oddly, the left side worked fine without adding a resistor, while I had to add the resistor to the right side to get it to blink. To avoid messing with the wiring at the lights I wired the resistor in at the flasher unit. Very happy with the brighter and more instantaneous brake lights.

I purchased the bulbs at Walmart, $20 for a two-pack. They're Sylvania ZEVO, lifetime guaranteed for as long as you own your car, supposedly. They look different from the tower-type bulbs most vendors are selling. I have changed my car over to negative ground, primarily to install a cell phone charger, which by the way I also found at Walmart. $10 for a very elegant-looking dual-USB charger that I mounted on the underside of the parcel shelf.
