Leaning -- Springs?

Ok, sways...lets have a discussion as to dia. I tried running a 3/4's and took out the frame mount on the right side I guess hitting a chuck hole...

I'm running 3/4's on 3 spridget's but had to re-enforce the frame horn's to do it. If you go over stock you can expect the mount to break but I would say 3/4 is about right for a street spridget. I torched out a hole for the stock mount in 3/16 inch stock and welded it in extending the load area over about 10 inches I believe. I also made up some mounts out of moly filled nylon rather than pay the big money for the after market aluminum one's.

I run 3/4 sway bar on a 1/4 elliptical car and 1/2 elliptical car. The 1/4 elliptical car teeters on oversteer, and the 1/2 elliptical car has noticeable understeer.

My experience's agree with Trevors on the BE but the only 1/2 elliptic car that I really push also has uprated front springs and a panhard rod along with the Datsun engine which is lighter. I haven't noticed a tendency to understeer. Perhaps at low speed's.

No pic's and I don't know how to resize them but the mount is pretty simple and easy to visualize. I made up a block of the nylon then sawed it thru the middle. Then drilled a mild steel strap to match the holes in the spridget frame. Clamped the strap to the block and drilled the mounting hole's thru the nylon block. Bolts thru those hole's held everything together while I drilled the big hole for the sway bar on center with the previous saw kerf.
