Leaking M/C

I had my m/c sleeved, also I needed the have the fitting ports helicoiled due to bad threads.
Now I'm having problems bleeding the hyd. sys.
I'm sucking air around the threads plus a slight hyd. leak.
Does anyone know if there is any type of sealant that is compatible with Castrol brake brake fluid?
Thanks

Teflon?

There is no seal at the threads. Its at the mating surface on the end of the bubble and the MC.

So is this to say it's a question of insufficient torque or is it possible that the fittings (bubble ends)are worn and require replacement?

thx!

Take a look at them and dress a bit with a very fine file is possable.

Not sure about brake fluid but this is good for pin-holes in gas tanks. Clean and dry the area and use a drop or two of the green wicking type Loctite then spray with the setting agent. According to a Loctite tech at a seminar it will form a plastic that is impervious to gasoline.

Flared end does the sealing. Might be able to get a copper "gasket" for flanges. It's been a while since I've seen some. No such thing as a sealant for brake fluid....DON'T even try it!!!

Makes me wonder if the gap-filling cyanoacrylate ( crazy) glue with kicker/zapper would also work... that stuff hardens into a plastic. I imagine gas wouldn't touch it either.

Thanks to everyone for the replies.
I really did not want to use any type of sealant and risk a total brake failure, I guess it is time for plan B.
I might rebuild a 1098 m/c if I can find one or go a later Midget and swap out the pedal box.
Thanks again

Are you sure it the MC? The line from the MC to the brake light / front rear tee would be alot cheaper and is more than likey the problem if its been removed and tightend too many times its probley just crushed beyond the ablity to seal correctly. I would look into getting a new line first. check with Moss or northwest. MC for a bugeye is expensive around 350..you already spent the money to have it sleeved should be good for years to come My bet is on the line replacment Fresh bubble should seal. Good luck!

Tis not the MC that is leaking is the pipes connecting to it. Change pipes or put new bubble flairs on ends and good to go.

It's a real pain to properly double flare a line, and brake lines have to be double flared. I never could ge it right. ( I am assuming these have the standard flare end.)

Double bubble, double flare it is.
